Underserved Neurological Conditions

It is estimated one in six of the world’s population suffers from some type of neurological condition or disorder, ranging from migraines to conditions affecting the brain and/or spine that impacting only a few hundred people worldwide. For those with less common neurological conditions, those involving the Central Nervous System (CNS), treatment can be a challenge. Little is known with many of these disorders, even with those that have great prevalence such as Multiple Sclerosis and Alzheimer’s Disease. As research discovers new possibilities related to cause, it can be predicted that novel therapies will emerge to address pathways for treatment. Identifying the most promising of these emerging therapies and making them available to the right patients is the purpose of Saol.
